Why 8 Nm is the sweet spot

Five newton metres is enough to learn on; eight is enough to stay on. The extra torque delivers stronger self-aligning forces — the wheel snaps back through slides the way a real car’s does — and richer detail under cornering load. For most sim racers, 8 Nm is the level where upgrading stops feeling necessary.
